Join the Hammond Public Library in collaboration with Gibson Woods Nature Preserve for a StoryWalk. The ½ mile red trail features pages and activities from a book that fits the season for families to enjoy in celebration of the nature and exploration. This season's book is The Flower Thief by Alice Hemming, and will run from April 1 - June 7 (weather pending.) Gibson Woods Nature Preserve is open Tuesdays - Sundays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Get ready to embark on a literary and artistic adventure! The Hammond Public Library Foundation proudly presents the 13th Annual Author & Arts Fair, now expanded to spotlight not only incredible authors but also talented local artists and craftspeople.

What to Expect:

  • Meet and network with local authors and artists
  • Discover and purchase unique books and original artwork
  • Enjoy a vibrant community celebration filled with creativity, culture, and conversation
  • This is a free, family-friendly event open to all. Come support your local creatives and take home something inspiring!

Interested in Participating as a Vendor?
We’re inviting authors, artists, and craftspeople to join us for this exciting showcase!

 Set-Up: 10:00 – 11:00 AM
 Vendor Fee: FREE

What’s Included:

  • A 6 ft. table in a high-traffic area (bring your own table covering)
  • Listing in our colorful Vendor Booklet with your photo
  • Promotion via our website, social media, and local press
  • Opportunity to sell and sign your books/artwork
  • Presentation and cross-promotion opportunities with other creatives
  • Chance to have your work purchased for the library’s collection
