Read Along the Path

Join the Hammond Public Library in collaboration with Gibson Woods Nature Preserve for a StoryWalk. The ½ mile red trail features pages and activities from a book that fits the season for families to enjoy in celebration of the nature and exploration. This season's book is The Flower Thief by Alice Hemming, and will run from April 1 - June 7 (weather pending.) Gibson Woods Nature Preserve is open Tuesdays - Sundays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Program Description

Event Details

Build the Book Club is a recipe swap program where we will be building a cookbook to include in the library's collection! Each meeting will be dedicated to a different portion of the cookbook, and at the end of the year we will be combining each section together to make a cookbook filled with recipes contributed by our patrons.

Bring a recipe with you to share: maybe it's yours, an old family recipe(if it's secret though, we understand!), or something you came up with yourself! You may also bring a sample of the recipe with you if you'd like, but you don't have to.

This month's section is Vegetables!
