Read Along the Path

Join the Hammond Public Library in collaboration with Gibson Woods Nature Preserve for a StoryWalk. The ½ mile red trail features pages and activities from a book that fits the season for families to enjoy in celebration of the nature and exploration. This season's book is The Flower Thief by Alice Hemming, and will run from April 1 - June 7 (weather pending.) Gibson Woods Nature Preserve is open Tuesdays - Sundays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Keep your brains moving this summer with some hands on learning at our Summer Education Club!

Could you be a good "bird parent"? Try your hand at being a "bird parent engineer" and see if you can build a nest to hold eggs and young birds. It will be an egg-cellent time of experimenting and building. Gibson Woods will be conducting a STEM themed bird nest building activity and bring in real nests, feathers, and other materials.
