Read Along the Path

Join the Hammond Public Library in collaboration with Gibson Woods Nature Preserve for a StoryWalk. The ½ mile red trail features pages and activities from a book that fits the season for families to enjoy in celebration of the nature and exploration. This season's book is The Flower Thief by Alice Hemming, and will run from April 1 - June 7 (weather pending.) Gibson Woods Nature Preserve is open Tuesdays - Sundays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Would you like to be able to talk to your friend from across the room?  Are you interested in learning more about the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community?  Come learn American Sign Language with Diana "Anna" Hill, one of the amazing teachers and leaders of our local Deaf community.  This 6-week workshop will meet on Wednesday evenings from 5-7 p.m. in the Schlesinger Board Room beginning April 1st.
