Purdue Extension has partnered with the Lake County Indiana Health Department to offer community-based health education programming this fall/winter. According to health indicators for Lake County, obesity, heart health, and diabetes prevalence rank about the state average. There is a growing need for prevention, support, and health management assistance for residents living in our area. The titles are listed below:
- January 14: Be Heart Smart - Know Your Risks
- January 21: Be Heart Smart - Know Your Numbers
- January 28: Be Heart Smart - Heart Healthy Eating
- February 4: Be Heart Smart - Take Action
