Join the Hammond Public Library in collaboration with Gibson Woods Nature Preserve for a StoryWalk. The ½ mile red trail features pages and activities from a book that fits the season for families to enjoy in celebration of the nature and exploration. This season's book is The Flower Thief by Alice Hemming, and will run from April 1 - June 7 (weather pending.) Gibson Woods Nature Preserve is open Tuesdays - Sundays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Join our hands-on class designed for those who already know how to crochet and want to elevate their skills by learning the art of assembling granny squares! In this workshop, you’ll discover various techniques to seamlessly join squares together, creating beautiful blankets, bags, and garments. We’ll cover different methods, including slip stitch, whip stitch, and more, while also exploring color coordination and pattern design. Bring your favorite granny squares and let’s create something cozy and vibrant together!
